April has spoiled us with all the flowers and trees blossoming. So much so, that I don’t want to see them wither away.

It has been such a delight witnessing all the pink and violet blossoms flourish around the city. Wisteria and cherry trees, I’m looking at you, you beauties!

Nonetheless, the forest didn’t disappoint either. With each passing day, I notice the trees being a shade greener and it makes me happy.

The days of camping and picnics are nearing and that makes my heart flutter! But as always, I’m getting ahead of myself and daydreaming.

The fact is that I have spent so much time this month chasing all the possible blooms. Starting from our neighborhood to Hasselt and Bruges, ending with the Hallerbos forest.

It wasn’t on purpose but it seems like I left the most magical one for last. And boy, was it marvelous! Magnificent, breathtaking, astounding and all the other superlative adjectives work for describing it.

As a result, I wanted to move closer to Hallerbos to enjoy the bluebells on a daily basis. Same as after the cherry trees in Hasselt. Just me being me, I suppose!

As you know, I try to visit Bruges every now and then but this time I specifically went to look for some city blooms. And let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint!

Cherry trees and wisteria were omnipresent around the city. Actually, I have now seen Bruges during every season, including early and high spring.

Sure enough, it wouldn’t be April without some moody weather. We had some hail during sunsets and this is the before and after; only 20 minutes apart!

All in all, the month of April felt warm and sunny and full of flowers. It was an eventful month that made me discover new places around Belgium.

Such a happy, happy month that exceeded my expectations!
