Just a bit longer and it can finally be the holiday season. Not only did it feel too early for it, but November was still in its full autumn edition over here. Especially since some trees’ leaves change their color so late in the season. Therefore, we had plenty of reasons to go out, at least during the first part of the month. It got so cold in the second half that our last few weekends were limited to one walk per day. It’s just too cold! You can tell by the photos already that the first half of the month was still sunny and not too cold.

Due to the cold, we made our home as cozy as possible for the dark November afternoons. As I wrote in this post, November was a lazy month online. I wanted to unwind and relax because when can you relax if not in November? We all know it only gets crazier in December!

Anyhow, I wanted to share some photos we took on the day of our anniversary. Like last year, it was foggy again but this time without any sun. That didn’t stop us from wandering around the forest on our way back home from lunch. I know I’ve mentioned before how much I love old movies but I never mentioned that I wish to wear my hair that way or dress like they did back then. Sometimes I do that but it rarely happens during our puppy walks for obvious reasons.

Our anniversary seemed like the perfect occasion to do so and finally document it with a camera. Normally, I’m so clumsy and shy in front of the camera and I always talk and then all the photos look weird and unflattering. But this time, it felt a bit easier and I even liked the end results. That is really rare!

The seasons are slowly transitioning and I mostly see it in the frosty mornings that have returned! Personally, I love frost because it’s always followed by the sun. Going out and taking photos feels like a race from one place to another, trying to photograph something before the sun melts the frost away. And more often than not, the bokeh on my 50mm lens makes the frost on trees look Christmassy.

So now that tomorrow is December, I suppose I can finally play my Christmas playlist and get into all this because I wasn’t in the holiday mood at all. I suppose I should take night walks through the city covered in Christmas lights and finally get those presents! And I must say the weather on the last day of November was a perfect closure to autumn because it snowed! Hopefully, it’ll continue over the weekend as well. I can’t wait for those snowy puppy walks!
