Somehow I managed to go almost a full month without blogging. I made an unplanned break from it. My desire to enjoy the autumn months left me with little to write about here. But not due to the lack of activities or ideas. Melancholy seeped in after each holiday we spent together and I wasn’t in the mood for blogging. In fact, I also neglected Instagram and would post there rarely. So I figured enough was enough and decided to share some recent photos. With the exception of a few concerts, we spent them mostly at home and in nearby woods.

The beginning of both October and November meant a week together at home. One for our anniversary of dating and another for our wedding anniversary. Needless to say, those were my favorite two weeks of the past two months. We did 7km long hikes in the rain, went to restaurants, restored antique chests we found at flea markets, took photos in the foggy forest, assembled LEGO rockets and overall had so much fun together. It was one of those weeks that you wish could go on forever. Joyful and delightful.

In fact, I have to mention that LEGO set. Grégory had his eyes set on it for a while because as he said, it was a combination of both our interests. He likes LEGOs, I like astronomy, therefore the Apollo Saturn V seemed like the perfect choice. After months of waiting for it to be back in stock, it arrived. Four and a half hours later, I wished there was more to do, despite the fact that this was a set of 1969 pieces. It was just so much fun! And this is coming from somebody who never played with LEGOs as a kid!

Overall, it felt nice to take a break from blogging and just enjoy myself. No plans, no little deadlines I give myself and I really tried not having guilt over it. Because I always do, I can’t help it. Either way, I think I needed a break from it all. I mean, it’s nice having a blog and sharing my photos and words but every now and then, all of that seems unimportant.

Lately, all I feel like doing is getting lost in books, like I did back in school. Books made me happy in an odd way. I don’t know how to explain it properly but that feeling after you finish a book is incomparable. And I’ve missed it. So if you notice a lack of posts here in the future, know it’s because of too many books and because I’m trying to focus on life, instead of writing about it.
