I can still recall writing this blog post last year and feeling incredibly lucky that it featured as many travels as it did. Cue 2023 where all of my favorite memories of this year are a consequence of traveling because that’s pretty much the only thing I did in 2023! There were months when I would only spend 5 days at home before whisking myself off to another country. As tiring as that sounds, I never felt it. I was going from one place to another, ecstatic and wide-eyed, feeling incredibly grateful that all of this was happening. I didn’t plan that many work trips abroad and personal trips in succession but I embraced it wholeheartedly. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was unforgettable for so many reasons and I’m smiling over it. So without further ado, here are my favorite memories of 2023!

Successfully escaping the Belgian winter in sunny Athens

Traveling with my friend through magnificent Portugal

Finding the biggest field of poppies near my hometown in Croatia

Marveling at Riga, the Art Nouveau capital of Europe

Falling in love with Edinburgh, like I always knew I would

Discovering Bucharest with my sister and having the best time together
