Last year, I spent two days in Le Mans and fell in love with its architecture. This stay felt even more magical after spending the night at Logis Saint-Flaceau. You’ll find this charming B&B in Cité Plantagenêt, in the heart of the old historical town.
This unique lodging is situated inside a 16th-century house and there are two apartments available for rent. They’re both a similar size and beautifully decorated. On the first floor, you’ll find La Charme en Logis whereas the Petite Plaisance apartment is on the second floor.
Even the ground floor of Logis Saint-Flaceau is breathtaking. Walking inside felt like stepping into a world of olden days. Antique armchairs, gilded mirrors, big fireplaces, big rugs on terracotta tiles, and a beautiful piano. Add in a big bookcase and you’ve got the vintage interior of my dreams.
Both apartments have a big open space that includes a lovely living room, kitchen, and dining area. On top of that, you have a bedroom and private bathroom, as well as access to the shared garden. It seems like an amazing place for a couple’s getaway. I was there alone and frankly, felt spoiled while there!
One of the most amazing aspects of Logis Saint-Flaceau is the view. Being in the midst of the idyllic old town means that the view from every window is fascinating. I was dangling my camera out the window much too often while there! Once night fell, looking at the cobblestone street below felt like being inside a period movie. me back in time.
The spiral stone staircase leading to my door made me feel like a character from a Brontë novel. I loved every detail of this place. Both apartments are filled with little treasures and the interiors are cozy and inviting. I couldn’t help but wish I could’ve spent longer than one night here.
The breakfast at Logis Saint-Flaceau included everything one might need and was absolutely delicious. Even more so because there were eight different homemade jams to try out! The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for a longer stay in Le Mans. I only regretted that I couldn’t have a lazy breakfast with a view of the city and the garden. But I had a train to catch and wanted to wander through Le Mans one last time!

An accommodation steeped in history, Logis Saint-Flaceau still offers all the comforts of modern times. Also, I can’t say enough kind words about our hostess Manuela. She was extremely kind and helpful, and gladly shared many stories about Le Mans. The entire stay felt so welcoming, like visiting your elegant aunt!
On the whole, Logis Saint-Flaceau is one of the dreamiest B&Bs in Le Mans. It’s the ideal place for pampering yourself while being surrounded by historical beauty. I already know that when I return to Le Mans, I will choose this picturesque B&B. I only have praise and compliments to say when talking about Logis Saint-Flaceau!
