Looking back, May seemingly flew by without me even noticing it. And I don’t mean it in the usual oh-where-did-the-time-go way. After our trip to Athens, I found myself catching up with things for the whole remainder of May. Even my reading fell behind, partly because I started a book during the inward flight and then didn’t open it for a fortnight. In fairness, it turned out to be a tedious and pretentious book but I suppose that’s what I get when I pick a book just because it’s set in Greece. I mean, I thought it was a good idea considering our trip!

I feel like the events of this month can be more or less boiled down to Greece, which makes me wonder how long this blog post will be. We visited the antique market in Tongeren after returning from Athens but came back with no vintage chest and no photos either this time. And I found myself with a cold for the first time in two years because that’s just what happens to me when it’s warm outside. Therefore, most of my days were spent editing the thousands of photos from Athens.

However, we did find two new brunch place nearby home that we’re eager to come back to for a full meal. We really only have a handful of places to choose from since we live in the countryside. Plus, we only started doing this recently. Also, at Grégory’s suggestion, we started doing an online course on Human-Centered Design and we’re thoroughly enjoying it! It’s something new to do together and a thought-provoking subject.

We had one important day to celebrate this May and that was Miles’ birthday! Our little chocolate fluff turned three years old, which makes him an adult dog. To be fair, that was noticeable the day I couldn’t lift him up anymore. So, on his special day, he got all the best things in life; frisbee playtime, long walks and a big steak! And in the photo below you can see Miles and his neighborhood friend Pesto. Sometimes he sneaks out of his backyard to come play with us and Miles’ frisbee!

At the end of May, we found ourselves in Luxembourg. Being just an hour away, it feels a shame to say we’ve only visited it once before. It’s a beautiful country filled with castles and lush green woods. And even the capital city looks beautiful! We only spent a few hours there but we’re definitely coming back for more soon. The following day we gathered lots of elderflowers and made juice from it. It was my first time making it after my mom’s recipe and it turned out great! We have so much of it I’m still drinking it. And now, let’s see what June brings!
