I wanted to start off my first post of the new year with these specific photos. They were taken one morning when the fog coupled with possibly the most beautiful light I’ve ever encountered made for an unforgettable sunrise. A foggy morning always inspires me but paired with sun, it looks like pure magic.

Over the past two weeks, I went through my journal and pondered on the year upon us. I thought about all the things I want to accomplish, all the places I want to see, and everything regarding the future.
Normally, I don’t make new year’s resolutions and I didn’t this year either.
Instead, I thought about how I want to fly on a plane again. How I want to expand my French vocabulary even more by reading books.
I daydreamed about rowing a boat on a lake at sunrise. And about seeing lavender fields at sunset. A bluebell forest bathed in light. A poppy field in the summer.
What I thought about the most was finally getting an analog camera and exploring film photography. I’ve always been in love with the look of those photos, not to mention how beautiful the grain looks.
Admittedly, I was always hesitant about film cameras because I just assumed I wouldn’t know the first thing about them. But now I realize it was simply because I wasn’t informed enough. After lots of reading, I realized this might not be impossibly hard since I don’t consider myself to be new to photography anymore.
Naturally, I still have plenty to learn but I feel extremely motivated and even more excited to delve into this.
And I cannot wait to capture all of those moments and share them with you. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these captures of the most beautiful foggy morning I’ve seen yet!
